ONLY LINUX PROFESSIONALS NEED APPLY. Two other linux newbies have looked at this and could not resolve the problem.
My CentOS 5 server is running 2 Quad core CPUS (8 cores), and 4 gigs of ram but it often just hangs for 15-20 seconds on page loads with the server load averaging only around 3 or 4. Something in either the PHP code of my video sharing script (Agriya Rayzz 2.3) or the current apache build is causing the occasional hanging.
I would like someone to analyze and browse the site for maybe 1 hour or less so they can notice the hanging Im mentioning. I'd like that person to help me narrow down the problem and if needed (if its quick to do) make the adjustments or re-install apache/php.
Possibly first start with a Apache/php/myql rebuild with just the bare essentials for Rayzz then look at error logs and troubleshoot from there.(current install has too many modules pre-loaded) I tried doing the apache build from WHM but it fails with an error code. I also tried easyapache from Shell and it also fails with the same error. I had to use the easyapache restore to get the site back up and running. Coder will need to build from source probably or maybe yum/rpm other way.
The site is a video sharing site with adult content like a "you porn" but receives around 15k visitors a day.
