Develop remote support for linux based on reverse SSL

I'm looking for a solution to ssh access a large number (100+) linux servers. I couldn't find what I want on the internet. I'm thinking about a reverse-ssh based solution. What I would like: - Place a script on my linux machines that i need to access remotely. - The linux machine identifies via DNS to one of our management servers and pass information such as local IP address, hostname and mac address - The management server has a very basic web interface that shows the known machines and if they are online or not. (pased on the info passed on) - The remote machine automatically (or via the first call with the host data) assigns the reverse port number and sets up a reverse ssh tunnel for port 22. - on the web interface we can click on the server, and a if possible opens software like putty with the link data so it shows the login screen for that server. - in the server overview we must be able to add a comment and delete devices we dont need anymore. Technically: - upon boot start script - script call our management server and requests the port nr for the remote ssh initiation - if it's a new remote host, then assign a new number - open the ssh tunnel - if it breaks automatically try to reconnect web: - show list of servers - show which ones are online - shortcut link to launche per example putty ssh client (or web client) - no need to store passwords. We will type the passwords manually. needs to be correctly documented and good to understand. We're considering to make it available under GPL licensing.
