An existing Wordpress website is being redesigned. In the current site, posts have tags and categories. In the new design there are new categories, and the old categories are being retired. The existing posts will keep their current tags, but need to be filed under the new categories. I need a strategy and code to categorize existing posts based on their tags. For example, posts with tagA, tagB, tagC, tagD, and tagE need to be associated with NewCategoryA.

Hi jefffassnacht, I can develop a wordpress plugin to categorize post based on tags. You just need to install it, and select which category will be assigned to each tag. All post within that tag, will be categorized. Best Marcelo
