Boxee Challenge

Are you up for a challenge on a platform that is revolutionizing TV? If you're familiar with Python and XBMC (as a user or coder) then my project is perfect for you. I co-founded a very buzzworthy TV download/streaming aggregator site with a social networking angle and ran it from 2006-8. I'm doing other things now, but the Boxee Challenge caught my attention. Boxee is basically a derivation of the open source Xbox Media Center (XBMC) project and I have been using it since it first entered beta. Information about developing for the platform is here: [login to view URL] I am looking for a developer who can, quickly, write what the above page calls a "Boxee Application." Our application will extend Boxee to receive an RSS feed of clips to play in sequence, automatically, when a user is running our app in the Boxee platform. The app will include support for GUI overlay of information about the clip currently playing from the RSS feed, and we may have time-limited interactive quiz/trivia bits between clips that get played. I will offer a more detailed spec to the developer(s) I select for this project once I see examples of Python and (ideally) XBMC or Boxee experience from potential coders. Thanks!
