Technical Description
Front end design: This website will be an aggregate of several national and local deal a day websites. It will be segmented by geographical area, Revenue will be earned through affiliate programs.
When a user enters the site, it will automatically redirect them to the geographical location closest to them. Once they confirm the correct geographical location, The main website will take deals from the RSS feeds of local deal a day sites (Groupon, LivingSocial etc.) in the area. Users will have the ability to signup through a lower level email subscription service with a drop down menu for the area.
The lower half of the page will be the same for all users. It will consist of a national deals page where RSS feeds are taken from online product sites (IE [login to view URL] "whats shaken", Woot, 1saleaday among others). Where available affiliate links will be placed. (Alternatively there could be tabs where they can pick between national deals and local deals)
Backend requirements: An ability to easily add, modify and delete RSS feeds is necessary. In addition, when the RSS feeds are added, there should be an option to add a different affiliate based link to the page. So when someone clicks on the offer it automatically goes to our affiliates. Design: It must be designed simple but elegant. See if you can get the entire photo description of each deal a day setup in boxes
Email design: A main focus will be in email signup.
Email signup will ask for location (dropdown box) and email address. If this can be linked to feedburner somehow it would be acceptable and possibly preferred) Here is an idea of what I thought the design COULD look like (although I am certainly open to suggestions and changes): ![][1]
