Our website currently is based on our own proprietary PHP back-end, and we would like to convert it to a Joomla based system.
The simple description is to reproduce the existing site: [login to view URL] entirely in Joomla. We would be willing to accept some small changes in layout and design if they are needed to make things more "Joomla" like, though overall we're happy with the current functionality.
We're specifically looking for coders who have lots and LOTS of experience in Joomla such that the site can be created in the most elegant Joomla implementation possible. Some notes:
1. News on any one of our projects or jobs will be edited, but infrequently (at most daily on News)
2. We'd prefer very simple implementations of things, without relying on large/heavy add-ons for things like galleries. We don't need massive functionality, just the basics, with simple update/addition procedures.
3. We expect we'll need some level of support afterwards as we make this transition to Joomla. We'd expect something like 15 days of email Q&A for "how do I do this" type questions. We're very technical, and are excellent learners, so don't worry about being swamped.
4. We have all the underlying assets and can make them available to you as you proceed. Flash navigation bars/etc will be adjusted by us to
meet your needs. Your work doesn't include that, unless you prefer doing it yourself.
5. This is a work for hire job only, and we'll take over the project once you complete the job. We'll need full source for any/all modifications you make as a result. Finally, as this is our company site, we cannot offer any links/promotion as part of this project.
6. IMPORTANT! This work/website does *not* include the online store portion of our website. That is hosted and running at our e-commerce provider and you will not be responsible for that portion of the website.
Thanks!
## Deliverables
* * *This broadcast message was sent to all bidders on Tuesday Aug 5, 2008 5:19:54 PM:
We wanted to communicate to all bidders that our request for bids was confusing in one important regard... We do *not* expect you to convert/host the online store portion of our website. That will remain with our shopping cart provider, and its functionality should not be included in your scope of work. I am revising the description right now. Thanks!
