Project should be very simple for the right person.
Previous knowledge of Esignal software (Desktop Application) is a big help, but not a dealbreaker.
I currently utilize Esignal DDE links to a Excel spreadsheet and use AutoIt to control elements of Esignal.?
I trade multiple "Spreads" which are? mathematical? derivatives? of stock values, i.e. '(Multiplier)*(Stock1) - (Stock2) + (Constant) = (Spread Value)'. ? Because I trade multiple relationships between stocks I have a spreadsheet that changes the multipliers and constants in the equation on-the-fly (by clicking on the spreadsheet). ? This is fine because my spreadsheet performs the calculation the AutoIt sends this to Esignal. ? Esignal then displays the Spread Values and chart within the Esignal Application. ? Esignal sees this as just pure math, and will not let me output any of the studies/indicators residing on the Esignal ? back into Excel via DDE. ? To get those calculations I have to manually input the spread values into Esignal's "Spread Symbol Settings"... This is slow and impractical. So what I need is someone to figure out how to write directly to the XML file where the "Spread Symbol Settings" values are stored.
I need to bypass Esignal's "Spread Symbol Settings" input and write new value to the XML file (Via AutoIt or some other free alternative) that the "Spread Symbol Settings" Input writes to. ? The problem is that in order to have a value stick in that XML file Esignal must me saved>>closed and restarted.
I have thought about inputting every value and combination of the spreads I trade into this file beforehand, but this presents a problem for system resources and subscription BS.
