Blog Portal Project Description: We are seeking a firm to create a website the provides free blog (weblog) space to our users. Project Details The primary business model of this blog concept is that blog users participate in a revenue share of the ad revenue generated by their website. With this in mind, this site must be able to accomplish the following key factors. Account Set Up 1] Instant site / account creation upon email confirmation. 2] Automatis assigning of sub url to account user. 3] Automated emailing of account info. User Interface 1] Ability to quickly add information to the blog and publish on the fly. 2] Easy to use features such as: photo upload. polls, counters, web seach ( via google ) invitation sending, birthday reminder, appointment reminder 3] Free intergrated email account 4] Friend invite / join submitter. 5] Friends need to be able to add birthday to users reminder list. 6] Side bar links need to contain both admin based URLS as well as room for member to add in URLS. Blog Features. 1] A minimum of 10 template skins for business and recreation. 2] Google Adwords script installation. 3] Amazon script installation. 4] Top banner contolled by admin. 5] Bottom banner controlled by user. 6] All sites will have company blog bar ( ie: get your own free blog now ) Revenue Sharing Feature. Members will earn money off their blogs via two methods. First, the sale of our network related info products. This means that the user/member will have links on their page in the side menu / banners that will sell our products of which they will receive a comission off. This program is administered by Clickbank, which uses a relatively simple affiliate code, but would require you as the programmer to automatically insert the MEMBER NAME into the outgoing target URL of any product links. Keep in mind that these links also need to be able to be easily changed, updated from the admin section. This would also require the member to join Clickbank as an affiliate directly from our website. See [login to view URL](dot)com for more info. The second source of revenue would be via a CPM page view for the network sites. This script would be a bit more complicated, and would work as follows. 1] Each user would have a given CPM ( per thousand views ) rate. In this case we will assign a CPM of $1 2] If the blog has 50,000 page views, they would earn $50. ( $1 per thousand page views ) 3] Because of the potential for fraud, admin must be able to monitor sites for potential misuse or fraudulent page views. ( ie: suspected IP's, exact visit times etc. ) This should be an automated notification feature of the website. 4] Earning stats from the CPM would need to be available from members login page. Main Page Features. Unlike Blogger, we want to be able to feature a member rich portal page that features current blogs, topics of interest etc. This would be Yahoo portal oriented, and would automatically update most popular blogs, as well as blogs on a variety of subjects. ( IE: Top Five Political Blogs etc ) It would also allow admin to update content on the main entrance page via the admin user panel. This would include adding in a specific blog of interest etc. The site would would also include the standard terms of use, privacy policy etc. Payment will be 25% upon project beginning. 25% upon completion. 50% upon project being fully tested and debugged. The designing firm will be given priority to accept ongoing maintenance retainer contract. Please respond with portfolio of work, and references if none are available on GAF.
