Our situation now: Data gathered from a questionnaire on our website is saved into our MySQL database (see attachment). We manually synchronize that data into Mailchimp and send out a newsletter. Your task is to change the above manual process to an automatic process. That means in detail: 1. Make a connection from our MySQL database to our Mailchimp account using Mailchimp’s API. 2. Synchronization: Automatically update our Mailchimp subscriber list once new data was saved in our MySQL database. 3. Automatically send a newsletter for every new data entry (subscriber) using a specified campaign on Mailchimp. Additional task: 1. Our questionnaire displays a result (text) but does not save it into our database. You need to save that result into a new field of our database.

First I would add the additional field to the database tables and make to necessary adjustments to scripts to maintain that field. Once that is done, the next task would be to amend the script that updates your database so that updates are mirrored to the Mailchimp subscriber list. Upon a successful update, an email would be sent to the new subscriber. I presume subscribers should be removed from the Mailchimp list if they are deleted from your database so as to keep the database in sync with the Mailchimp list.
