I'm busy with an project to collect certain video data from youtube. Now i'm doing this by hand, but I want to have an scraper that collect this data for me. The data needs to be collected once: Video title Description Username Time of upload Duration Video-page URL Thumbnail URL This data need to be updated every time I run the software: Number of views Number of ratings Average rating Number of comments Number of video responses Number of times favorited The data needs to be stored in an database. I know there are scrapers online, but I don't know how to setup.

Hi, I want to write the scrapper for your. Since you'll be using this from Mac, I believe Java will be a perfect language for this. But still, I have other options like Perl, Python and PHP. Just let me know if you want to hire me for this task. regards marchent

Hi, I have experience working with YouTube API. I will create Java application that will collect videos, it will run on Mac. How do you want to select which videos to scrape? By search keyword?
