We are looking for an audio recorder that will work on our website as well as mobile devices. We currently have a working audio recorder on our website but it is Flash based and does not work on mobile devices. This project must work on our website and on all mobile devices including iOS and Android. This is not for an app, it will be web based (wordpress) so it may be good if the program can be provided as in the form of plug-in for easy embedding. No Flash please. The recorder must include: 1. Record / Stop / Replay/Save button 2. Ability for us to set a max record time in seconds. (back end only, not the person using the recorder) 3. Show the sound wave pattern as people record their voice. 4. Must work with either a built in microphone on the device the user is on or a microphone that is plugged in to the users device 5. Once the save button is clicked it must upload the audio file to a designated server (we wilil discuss this later) and assign a file name to it that identifies who did the recording (i.e. through an email address as identifier). If you are capable of doing the request above please let us know. We have seen this request on other projects as well so assumed this is an easy one to be resolved.

Hello, After your request on this bid, I did a few research on how and what we can do to make it happen. I came accross a few links that provide more elaborated information on doing it along with links to demo. So, one thing is for sure, it is possible using HTML5. Now, the question is how much time it'll take. For me HTML5/CSS/Canvas/Javascript and it's libraries are like in nature. What is new about this bid and what entices my creative buds is "HTML5 Audio Recording". It seems to be a very good chance for me to understand and perform with perfection. I worked with audio, video streaming in HTML5 and flash both. I can understand ins and outs of a project that include media. WordPress, is my second language after the scripts mentioned above. If give a chance, I'll die hard to make it happen, even if it requires lots of learning, I am ready to bear that extra effort. Looking forward for questions, queries and suggestions on my proposal.
