Greetings!
I would like to have a script written in php that will do the following:
Query a database table for menu items. Create an array of arrays containing the menu elements (maintaining the parent/child relationship) and pass this array to smarty for rendering. The smarty template will render the menu as a hierarchical set of UL's. The menus will never go deeper than one submenu. There will be a css sheet that will determine how the elements are displayed. I would like two styles to be created - one to display the items horizontally where the child items appear when hovered over(drop down), and one to display vertically where the child items appear beneath and indented to the parent items (tree). The template should always display the list the same but the behavior of the menu should be determined by the css.
SQL is attached. I would like to keep it normalized using a master table and a relationship XRef table if possible.
The script must use PEAR::DB and Smarty. There can be no html in any php script.
Please provide at least 3 examples of your PHP work.
Good luck bidding!
