Alpha 5 web database - tickler automation

We have web-based customer database (developed in-house) which was developed using Alpha 5 database tool (vers 8 with Web Application Server). Project description --------------------------- Travel company often gets requests for info on a trip before the trip materials are ready to send. We either put these people on a tickler list (that's an entry in the customer history), or send them the previous year's itinerary (a different history entry). When the new trip materials are ready, we need a way to automatically send an e-mail about the "hot off the press" new itinerary to all those people who were interested in destination X. Requirements -------------------- a) Need a dialog box where user can select what customers they want to send this new e-mail to: Options = destination of interest, date range they contacted us (from + to), history type (tickler and/or itinerary sent), select name of e-mail** to send. b) Determine how many people this will go to, and give confirmation dialog. "You've requested to send e-mail to ____ people. Is this correct?" Need a chance to cancel out in case something was screwed up on the original options, so we don't accidentally send out the wrong thing to 9,763 people. c) Once confirmed by user, send the specified e-mail to all of those people. We already have e-mail facility, so this will just mean calling a specific function that already exists. Code will need to loop through all of the people on the list, and execute the e-mail call for each one. d) Coder needs to build the components, but will not be responsible for integrating into the production app -- we will handle the final testing and integration in house. Coder must have prior experience with Alpha-5 web-based database applications. Please include information on your related experience with project bid.
