ASP and ActiveX.dll conversion to ASP.net

I have a working Helpdesk application written in ASP and VB6 ([login to view URL]) writting to a MS SQL database with views and a few stored procedures. The program is almost 5 years old and in need of a facelift (more visually appealing). I want to convert this to an ASP.net application and retain ALL functionality (you will be responsible for your own testing). The application is made up of 72 ASP pages and 185 subs and functions. I currently have all of the subs and functions in one class module and the logging in a separate bas module. When complete, I want to have a project that contains the ASP pages, a project that contains the BusinessRules (for a logical grouping into classes for the various functions). I also want to use [login to view URL] for all data read/writes and use [login to view URL] for logging. The code must be in VB with really good error trapping. I would expect quality coding and good performance. ------------------------------ **These comments where added after the initial feedback from bidders :** 1) This is an upgrade project. The old program can run side by side with this application (since all data fields will remain, its just separate applications reading and writing data). There will be no migration steps: so no need for ocx and com 2) Access to source code and asp pages: Attached is a zip file that contains both (500k). 3) I am not really looking to add any new functionality at this point other then that already stated (**nicer interface and better N-tier architecture**) plus the newly added items at the bottom of this email. 4) This is an intranet application so I will not be able to provide a link. But if you get the source code and asp pages (see note 2 above), I'll assume this should be adequate information 5) There are about 11000 lines of VB code. This includes the logging, error trapping, and comments. **Added functions not previously requested but not required: **1) HMTL based on-line help (bid this separately) 2) a UML diagram of the finished product (bid this separately) 3) What is required to change the database to MySQL for the clients that do not have MS SQL (bid this separately). Just note that the default will be MS SQL 4) Make the presentation layer customizable (skinable) ... (bid this separately) ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
