Automated Animated GIF Maker
I need a program that will monitor a folder for JPG images and when a set amount of images has been put in the folder, the program will make them in to an Animated GIF.
For example, I might export 100 processed JPG from Adobe Bridge into this folder, the software would make a GIF out of every 4 JPGs in the order they are placed in the folder, creating 25 animated GIFs.
It could use a 3rd party software for the GIF creation if necessary.
It would be ideal to be able to select the number of photos to create the GIF from, the frame rate, and out put folder.
I have something like this for PC that uses Auto Hot Key and ImageMagick but now I need it for Mac.

I've written animated GIF encoders and decoder from scratch while working at AOL and I was the one responsible for adding animated GIF support to the AOL client. I am intimately familiar with the file format and know how to make highly optimized GIF files using frame by frame compression. I've also written dithering routines to make palletized GIFs look much better than using off the shelf software. I have several iOS and Mac apps on the iTunes store and I'm very experienced in Objective C, C++, Cocoa. I'm also a system architect and do full stack development. I live in Long Beach California and have excellent communication skills and can help you choose the right technologies to maximize your success and minimize your costs.
Hi,
Have you explored the option of Apple Script? Or is there a specific reason why you need it to be an APP....
AppleScript will be considerably cheaper to develop.
Let me know your thoughts.
