When you say you want the smallest box , it is because you want to place a box inside another to the largest , or want to arrange them in a row from the smallest to the largest ?

I'm 3rd year math student and I did similar kind of problems before. Also I have some experience with Excel. Just two important questions, can these boxes be rotated on any side? Do you need one universal formula for any number of boxes (1 to 9) or can it be 9 formulas?
