There is a need to convert strings as present in example "Testing Set" into IPv6 address as described in RFC1924 using base85 digits defined in "Character set".
The script must work in both directions which means from calculated IPv6 address text string. If string is shorter than is aligned to right and zeroes are put in front of it.
Strings should be taken from the standard input and returned to standard output.
Python is preferred however if would be java script, C or unix shell commands it would be ok as well.
I noticed the Testing [login to view URL] uses the space character for encoding the value 80, while RFC 1924 does not use it. Rather the backtick character ( ` ) is used to encode the value 80.
Other than that, I could do this conversion tool in C.

Hi,
I can do this quickly. I have worked extensively with RFCs while designing our rest api system. Have 7 years of experience in software development and MS in software engineering. Networking is my favourite subject.
I have built a url shortener with Base62 and can do your job as per your description of Base85 and IPv6 convention

Hi there,
I prefer C but I can code it in any language, however the algorithm is not complex and if you have a little bit of programming knowledge, that should be sufficient for you to translate it in any compiled or scripted language out there.
Hello,
I am basically an electrical engineer and an experienced python developer. I would be glad to work on your project for you and could do the converting of strings into IPv6 formats and vice versa as per your requirements.
Thanks and looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Hello.
I can do this job, if you show me full ipv6 address for your strings (in file)
that i can understand which convert i must do.
For example
My str data: 00ADA01FE003 XQ01
Real address: 0:0:ada:0:1fe:0:0:3
result: 3358395927032992085456191491
final result(reverse): 1941916545802992307295938533
Knowledge on IPv6 compressed and non compressed format makes me good candidate to consider. Conversion will be done either using jsp or c or shell script.

Hello,
My name is Mario Ivančić and I'm from Bosnia and Herzegovina. I have many years of experience in C, C++, Perl and PHP. For this task I would use Perl. With proper flags it will behave as any other linux executable.
