Working as a developer for more than five years, I got the opportunity to work on projects related to software development with Java/C++. I have hands on experiance with the eclipse, oracle & postgreSQL database systems, subversion systems and maven. I believe my vast experience with the development with java would be an added advantage to development of the java server application to transfer files from one server to several using multicast. Relevant Experience I have worked on enterprise level software system related to travel domain. This core system is developed with the core java and some other third party frameworks. There we have used multicast as an messaging framework for cache updates in multiple server instances. If the cache invalidated in one server, it will inform that to others through multicast. There we have an addition functionality for add & register the members and heart beat checking for the existence of the member. Members(servers) first send the add message through multicast to add & register them in other members. Periodically they will send a beat to inform that they are still alive. When a new update comes update message will multicast to those registered members. Implemented details can be shared later. Not attached here due to space limitation.
