Accomplished Marketing Assistant

Dear All, I am a small solotrepreneur that has recently published a book with a focus on Caribbean. I am therefore seeking assistance in the marketing of the product. I require someone who fulfills the requirements below. The main requirements for this role are: 1. A good grasp of English 2. Good creative writing skills 3. Experience of marketing books or like products. 4. Good telephone manner 5. Familiarity with telemarketing Duties will include: 1. Make outbound telephone sales calls to targeted clients 2. Researching new clients 3. Developing client relationships 4. Cold calling prospective new clients 5. Up-selling the products 6. Source and maintain accurate contact information on target and prospective new companies In writing this book my initial focus was on Caribbean students that are interested to pursue higher education abroad, i.e undergraduate or postgraduate degrees. However, I have come to the realization that there are many institutions that seek to recruit international students that could benefit from the book. My main issue is that there have been very little sales since its release three weeks ago. I therefore think that much more effort is needed to capture the attention of this potential market. The target is to get at least one book store in each of the islands listed here to carry the book: Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Barbados and Trinidad & Tobago. However, I think a grassroots awareness of the book is crucial and the first order of business, starting with some press coverage in local media (free or at very low cost is the goal); awareness by student advisors and career counselors in high schools and colleges is another priority. Yet another potential market is among students offering specialist courses to students that world like to study abroad, such as GMAT, SAT, GRE, ESL etc. If you are still interested in the project, would you mind creating a proposal of how you hope to accomplish this?
