designer wanted for range of tshirts and other merchandise

I am wanting to launch a range of themed t-shirts and associated merchandise and while I have a vague idea of what I'm after, my design and creative skills are pretty much non existent. As a result, I am looking for someone (or many people) to proactively come up with designs that I can then have printed on to t-shirts, mugs, towels etc etc As well as having some humorous/slogan designs (and I've got an idea of what I think would be good), I'm also wanting some stylish designs that would fit with the theme...in other words designs that people would be prepared to wear out on a casual basis In terms of an idea of design/style for the non-humorous range then please look at Crazy Shirts or Life Is Good to get an idea. I am after someone with experience of designing tshirts and themed merchandise and I would want to see examples of work As for a day to day working relationship, in my mind, it would be a case of me asking for a number of new designs e.g. 6 and then you presenting me with an appropriate number for me to choose from. With regard to the actual theme I'm after, I'm a little paranoid (or naive) about revealing my "amazing idea" :-) :-) publicly, hence I want to choose a designer first. However, for the purposes of getting started, let's assume that the theme is ladybirds. My customer audience will be male and female, probably 30-60 years old and these designs would, I imagine, be purchased as presents for the demographic rather than by the demographic itself. I apologise if this all sounds vague and unstructured, but I can assure you I'm not the client from hell, just someone who believes he's got a bl**dy good idea :-) My naivety/inexperience also means that I'm open to various purchasing options ... i.e. do I pay per design I like (and if it gets technical, I want the rights to the design), or do I commission 10 designs and it's my tough luck if I only like 2 of them. Similarly with the price - I've put a price band in with the job, but I have no idea if it's realistic or not, so please feel free to bid down (or, if you have to , up) So, if this sounds like something you've got experience of and want to do, then please provide me with examples of your work and your preferred working/payment arrangements.
