Design an App Mockup

We are looking to do a touch screen interactive display on the scientist, E.O. Wilson, geared towards 1st - 7th graders located at the EO Wilson Biophilia Center: [login to view URL] This the intro video when you tour the facility: [login to view URL] We are looking also for suggestions on what monitor/technology to use. The client originally wanted a 55" touch screen but we also looked at things like this: [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] If we use a table touchscreen, we would possibly use another monitor, mounted to the wall above head level, for people to watch what the ones on the table touch screen are doing. It would just mirror what's happening on the touch screen. There will be a bunch of 30 second video shorts and fun facts that can pop up (maybe even a little trivia game) that the kids can click and watch from this monitor/wall/tablet/etc. We would want something that could keep kids engaged about 5 minutes or so. Wilson" "A Journey Through Gorongosa" "The Naturalist" "Wilson's Boyhood" "Why Did I Choose Ants?" "Biodiversity" Fun fact - 99% of life on earth is smaller than the eye can see (60 seconds - 120 seconds into the video) And most importantly, "The Chemical Language of Ants" Please watch the video from the time marker 52 seconds. We want to have kids be able to move their finger all over a white touch screen and have animated little ants follow the trail they made with their finger. We're thinking of having other little video effects (non-interactive and just looping) like this: [login to view URL] and this: [login to view URL] Maybe when you click on a looping video, a fun facts blurb pops up. And maybe some videos of ant swarming around something that you interactively drag into the scene (like a piece of rice, or even something larger) to show how the ants work together to move an item. Like this: [login to view URL] ----- We haven't story boarded this all yet, so we're open to suggestions. ----- We also thought about some sort of moving timeline of EO Wilson - starting when he was a young boy (when he lost his sight in a fishing accident). - scene at 2:40 to 3:30 in the intro film ([login to view URL]). Other milestones might include: Why he chose ants. Age 13, he first person to discovered a new species of ant in Alabama: red fire ant. Started really studying ants at 16 as a serious student. 1951 - moved to Harvard to study and has been there ever since. When he won his first pulitzer prize. His trip to the Gorgongosa Africa. Winning the Hubbard Medal—the National Geographic Society’s highest honor in 2013 And so on. Probably about 5 - 10 milestones.
