Magento, Woo commerce, OScommerce, Opencart, Shopify etc. Magento is for heavy ecommerce websites and it has got very good framework. Also we can get support from Magento team incase required. There is free version and paid version of Magento available. I would suggest this only if you have got good budget. Woo commerce & Oscommerce are lighter than Magento. They have got all the necessary features that are required for having an ecommerce site. Working with backend of these framework is also easy. Opencart has got all and more similar features as that of other frameworks. This is more recommended where there is less design involved. I also offer hosting services for Joomla and WordPress and I can build your site in either one. As far a the shopping cart, there are a wide range of options from free to paid, simple to complex. I would need to know which platform you wish to use before I could recommend one. Also, I host through GoDaddy, and they offer Zen Cart, which is a stand alone shopping cart (fyi).
