I need to build a website. I know pretty much exactly what I want, but I don't have the technical skills to do it.
The website I want build needs to include several key elements: email optin linked to my eweber account, a wordpress theme integrated ([login to view URL]), and a plug in of sorts that allows payment via alipay.
For an idea of how I want the website to look, vist [login to view URL] - some of the elements in this website I also want on mine (such as a video, email opt in, nice layout, my logo/colour theme/pictures etc.)
Aside from help building the website, I also need help learning how it is done so I can in the future manage it myself. So i need someone who is happy to teach me how to do this, how the plugins work and how to use the wordpress plug ins (aweber/alipay/profitstheme etc.), how to change things around on the website when i need, move text, add pictures, change the colour/layout, add pages, etc.
I have the domain and it is hosted on an appropriate server. Some of the content I want on the website is still being developed so I want to be able to add stuff when I need after the main frame of the website and components have been installed and set up, but there is still plenty that can be done now to make it looking good. (main pages i need are home page, a few other pages such for me to develop later, and perhaps 1 page from the profit themes website up, but no necessarily visible on the site, just want to make sure i know how to do it and put it out when i need, add content etc.) I want it running smoothly before I am left to try run myself.
I don't know exactly what is best to use, but a developer I worked with before suggested using wordpress open source cms and doing further customisations, using just as a cms, just like drupal and joomla, with backend coding in php, because cms is good for seo and ease of management.
I have no idea how to use these things or how is it best to set up my website, but if you look at the link to [login to view URL] and see the sort of thing i want done, perhaps you can offer some suggestions, especially as I want to be able to run and develop the website myself in the future, but i don't want to be limited by an online website builder.
This is a very small start up so my budget isn't huge and I'm not sure how long is needed, but I'm willing to pay what is fair to get the job done well and feel confident I am able to manage the site myself in the future. I'm a fast learner, but someone with a bit of patience and understand that I am new to this would be appreciated.
