Hello,
This bid is just a placeholder. I need to ask questions, clarify the details and then I will place a "real" bid.
I've had experience working with Google Places API. Please take a look at [login to view URL] (login/password: test/v?n)IE8rsJo^). It's pretty raw, but it demonstrates some useful functions:
1. You can select a location and a type (or types) and then click Search (see [login to view URL] and [login to view URL]). Thus you search for places within a specified location using Radar Search ([login to view URL])
The list of types is taken from [login to view URL] It's only a part of it.
2. The results can be exported into excel.
Possible issues
1. A sector is stored as a polygon in a KML file and Google Places API search doesn't support passing in a polygon. It could be turned around by passing in a rectangle encompassing a sector, making search within the rectangle and then discarding any results that are not in the polygon.
2. The maximum number of results that can be returned by Radar Search is 200. So if there are more than 60 places found for a selected sector and type, the sector should be divided into smaller areas and the search should be made again for each of these areas.
Thanks,
Anatoly
