Add custom gallery to websites

I have two websites which require the development of a completly custom gallery with views. The first website requires a gallery with two sliders. The images can be scrolled left/right and clicking will either open a lightbox or open a new URL in a new windows. The second website requires a standard gallery with folders / subfolders. The important element here is the administration part, as the admin needs to easily be able to upload and manage images, move them around etc. None of the current Drupal plugins provide this functionality so it needs to be custom.
