I have files from a camera that were recorded onto an SD card but when I go to open them on my computer I get an error msg saying " The archive is either in unknown format or damaged" I am looking for someone to recover these files and resend them to me in a format that I can view in either Windows Media Player or VLC Media [login to view URL] is probably easily done for someone who knows how to do [login to view URL] someone believes they can do this quite easily I will send them the files to start the job.I will pay 20 euro for this job.

Hi, I've read through your problem description and believe I may be able to help you. I've come across this problem before, however every problem is always different with a different cause. There is a possibility that the file is corrupted, i.e. not complete. However, it doesn't sound like that is the case as you've copied it from an SD card. Could you recopy the file from the SD card and send it to me so I can have a look at it for you. Regards, Mo

if the files not damaged i can reformat the files to a readable format for windows media player or vlc. don't worry about that.. good luck
