Database II Mini Project - $$$

Create a proposal for building an information system for a business, organization, or a club. This information system will take the form of a database. Your proposal is designed to get approval to build your project. You may be making your proposal to a bank, a company president, the College President, the Mayor, or some other decision maker, depending on what you intend to do. Your application may be used to track records for any combination of people, equipment, sales, office, or job titles, or other attributes (with prior permission.) Think carefully about the following: Who is this application for? What problem are you trying to solve? What is the role of this application in solving that problem? (What will it accomplish?) Requirements Your database should have a minimum of 4 tables, 6 queries, and 2 stored procedures (or Triggers). You should have 2 or 3 tables, each representing a list of a real-world entity (people, things, places) and one or two tables to combine these (junction tables) SQL to generate a copy of the database A Create Table statement for each table used. INSERT statements for each record needed to populate the table. Queries At least 2 queries should contain multi-table joins. At least 2 queries should use a GROUP BY function. At least 2 queries should be an INSERT, UPDATE, or DELETE SQL statement (in a Stored Procedure or a trigger) The Stored Procedures should each contain a Transaction, and at least one INSERT, UPDATE, or DELETE SQL statement above. Note: SQLite doesn't support Stored Procedures, so just test an Insert, Update or Delete SQL statement Note: can skip triggers with SQLite - SQLite Browser doesn't support Trigger development well. (with permission) What to turn in: ● SQL code to generate database Queries, other code needed ● A 4 page Word document (1000 words) describing the project, containing at minimum: ■ What is the rationale for your project? ■ What tasks will your project accomplish? ■ Describe the data model – why did you choose the design you used? ■ What does each query accomplish? What does each stored procedure accomplish?
