Computer Scientist / Data Architect

An exciting and growing company is seeking a senior-level computer scientist with experience in High Performance Computing (HPC) and Distributed Shared Memory (DSM) architecture. The individual will be responsible for parallelizing a simulation engine for DSM architecture. Necessary Skills and Experience: Strong background in C++ programming Strong background in linear algebra Experience with HPC techniques and data architecture optimization including: sparse matrix solutions, open-source libraries (MPI, OpenMP etc.), multithreading, binary search trees, and spatial hashing algorithms. Excellent technical writing and verbal skills (English) Desired Skills and Experience: Experience with partial differential equations and domain decomposition Position Responsibilities: Parallelize a simulation engine for DSM architecture Optimize data architecture and algorithms Communicate, track, and report progress Interact with other engineers to provide design feedback Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent Minimum 3 years of professional work experience in computer science, data architecture, and distributed memory architecture Relocation to the Phoenix, AZ area is necessary
