Hello, I have led a C programming course for embedded AVR microcontrollers and I have written a book about the Atmega8 MCU, but it is in Czech, since my students were Czech. I can explain to you the basic concepts of programming in general and then move on with explaining how the toolchain (editor+preprocessor+compiler+linker) works and I can recommend you some IDEs and show you how to work with them as well. It depends whether you are more interested in programming of console applications for windows or Linux or if you want to use C language to program microcontrollers.
