Currently have an Access Database that is connected to a SQL Server Backend.
Would like to move these forms to our intranet website (which is already using ASP.NET 4). Would like to use Telerik ASP.NET AJAX controls to enhance the look and feel of the application). I would like the application written in VB.NET, although C# is ok. Application should have Data, Business, and Presentation layer present. (As the application will be expanded in the future).
The Database schema is for the most part fixed.
Consists of 2 main forms (with some sub forms).
Form 1: Data Lookup: User Enter's two lookup parameters, hits a button, and then a grid view of all records that match that parameters appear. (This is sortable/filterable view).
The user the finds the record that they want to edit (or click a button to enter a new record), and a new window appears.
Main Form: (See screenshots below for how these forms currently look).
This Form (in Access) has a a tab strip with 7 tabs on it (that just group the record into more logical sections) All Total, the Main table has 78 fields (most of those being Checkbox bit fields).
Tabls 1-4 are all fields from a single table.
There are then 3 Sub Forms (Tabs 4, 5, 6) - that will enter data into related tables. Each of these tables only have 5-6 fields.
