It was a pleasure to work with Weng! We had a challenging project but Weng stuck with it and was super helpful in many areas. Communication was great and despite the time difference, everything went quite well. What initially made me choose Weng was that he had actually looked at and thought about our project details before quoting, and he asked all the right questions. In this paper, human mimicry as a teleoperation method is presented using a semi-humanoid robot, with Microsoft Kinect sensor as its interface. Vector calculations are used to obtain joint angles of human body to be imitated by the humanoid robot, focusing on upper body imitation. Then, a task learning methodology is proposed for the humanoid robot to carry out a task independently by using curve-fitting method.
