Stage one is to provide a model for an electrical generator with the following elements:
needs to include a basic model/calculations in MATLAB or Excel (or similar) which would enable the calculation of the output power capabilities for a generator based on rotational speed, number of magnetic poles and coils. The magnetic poles (specified magnets) are to be mounted on an axial mounted spinning disk of radius r. The coils (specified turns and core) are fixed and stationary mounted in a can configuration over the spinning disk,
Some calculations on the gap between the coils/magnets would be helpful as would ideas for suggestions about coil/magnet configurations/materials.
