Project Objective
The current website is a relic of the last decade (we will reveal the name in a Private Message, if requested). We want to re-develop our website with more graphics and responsive design so that computer, tablet and mobile phone users are able to access and use our website and our SEO rankings are enhanced.
We are open to suggestions for which platform to use, whether using Bootstrap or a similar framework.
Phase 1 of the website development for the new website will consist of
• 20 fully functional web pages that will probably use two “templates”, with variations of the templates for computer, tablet and mobile use.
o We will supply the content, most of which already exists on current website. The developer needs to supply the images and insert our content.
• 90 “shell” webpages, based on Template#1 that are linked to, but only include dummy text and metatags.
Template 1: Used for the home page and most web pages
Template 2: Used for our most important webpage, that supports pricing and quoting
1. Input forms and log the input data to a MySql database.
2. Online product pricing calculator, with parameters to be retrieved from a database, with various discount levels.
Phase 1 of the project will have two parts and two sets of deliverables:
• Part 1 Deliverables: Technical and Graphical Design of Templates 1 and 2 with all of the associated graphics, navigation and icons.
• Part 2 Deliverables: Completed development of Phase 1 and fully tested deployment onto a new domain setup on our test server. Also, documentation and/or training for us to be able to edit/change the website.
Phase 2 will be a separate project after this project is completed. Phase 2 will add much more complexity to the website including a shopping cart, enhanced customer login area for uploading and downloading files, etc.
