Firefox stopped supporting Plug-Ins which is the way we use to run some functionality in our system. We need to convert it to browser extension or something else in order to be supported by Firefox and Google Chrome.

A PDF document with scanned images of customer documents is stored in a network share. This is a manual process done by branch personnel. Documents are scanned in batch with no specific order. Documents includes Customer ID, bank statement, payroll receipt, etc. Each PDF may contains from 10 to 18 pages of documents for a single customer.

User launches app by selecting the right menu on a Web application. We may use either Firefox or Chrome browsers.

PlugIn is started with the "credit application id" and some other credit application data as a parameter.

User assigns a "document type" to each page of the PDF. Depending on product, some document types are mandatory. All mandatory document types must be assigned to a page in order to proceed. If incomplete, user may start another task and get back later after scanning the new document.

After completion, user finish document type assignment and PDF is ready to be processed.

For each document type, the application must extract that specific document from PDF and send the image through FTP, STP o Web Service to the backend compressing image to specific parameters due to bandwidth restrictions.

Same app may allow to review a specific customer file to add missing pages or replace unreadable documents by backoffice agents.

PlugIns are not supported by browser anymore. Browser extension, stand alone app or some other technologies should be used.

Application must work on Firefox or Google Chrome running on Windows or Ubuntu operating systems.

Error handling and secure coding compliance are a must.
