Unable to edit categories in Magento: Can add new root and sub categories, but when I click to edit, it only allows me to add new category.

Hello,
When I try to edit my current categories, instead of loading the category; it loads to the page that allows me to create a new root or sub category. So, I can't edit any of our current categories, I can only create a new one.
Looking for someone to fix this issue for 2 of our websites (on the same server), and of course making sure that when this is fixed, nothing else is affect and is still running as should.
