I would like coded, in your choice of PHP, Python or Perl, an autoresponder script different from those already available in that it will allows the person signing up to select 1) which of the emails (which would be listed and briefly described) they would like to receive, 2) the frequency (daily, every other day, weekly, etc) that they would like to receive them in, and 3) whether they would like to receive the email in plain text or html format. Once the user has selected his options, the script would then be able to send the appropriate messages in the appropriate formats at the appropriate times. The process should be double opt-in and the user should be able to unsubscribe at any time during the sequence. A notice should be sent to an admin email address that includes the subscriber's IP address whenever someone successfully subscribes. The back end database would need to be MySQL, and the delivery part of the script can be run via cron job. The script administrator should have a control panel (don't worry about authentication, htaccess should be fine) to create different autoresponder campaigns, and for each he should be able to specify that certain emails are required and place them either at the beginning or the end of the sequence selected by the user. (ie. There may be one or two introductory required emails, then all the reports/emails selected by the user, then a final concluding email that is also required.) The control panel doesn't have to look pretty... just be functional.
