responsive website problem on iPad

I have a website that is responsive and works well across all formats. The issue I have is that when viewed in a 1080px wide screen it looks great, but when viewed on an iPad in landscape (that is 1080px wide resolution), it changes. See attached a PDF with screen shots etc. When viewed portrait on an iPad it looks as I would expect.
This is not CSS but some sort of jquery code that a previous developer has put in. I can't seem to figure out whats wrong.
So I would like someone to fix this issue, they MUST have an iPad as emulators show the site looking fine, so I repeat, they MUST have access to a real iPad.
Please do not bid unless you are 100% sure you know what I am talking about, and you are 100% sure that you can fix the problem.
