I have an office program called "Touched by Magic" that I purchased in 1997. The owners went out of business about 2 years later. Before they did, they assured me and others who had purchased their program that we had paid the fee to insure permanent rights to the program with no future licensing problems. In November, 2003, I began receiving notices that the program will expire on December 3 and it did. I can continue to use it by changing the system date each time I start the program. But this is an inconvenient way to work and I understand that it can do damage to the operating system. I have enormous amounts of confidential data on this program and prefer to continue to use it rather than try to transfer it to another program. There is no way to reach the original owners that I know of.
The exe apparently utilizes Access database files but is not derived from it. I'm told that the language is Basic. I'm told I need to decompile exe files to change the code and therefore need someone who knows reverse engineering.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site).
4) No further problems with licensing in any shape or form.
