Job Description:
I am based in New York City. Allowing time difference, we have to be online at least 3-4 hours of overlap time on daily basis.
You can't have any other projects when working on this one.
Project Description:
This is an existing calorie counting/fitness tracking app.
It allows users to log meals, maintain calorie budget during the day, track fitness and see how many calories were burned, and food logging by searching our food db.
App currently uses web services that also supports our website.
App uses API connection for initial registration, calorie calculation, food logging, exercise tracking and any profile setting changes.
As a result, app relies on constant internet connectivity and user experience diminished as a result.
App is fully dependent on API and I want to change this. Goal here is for users to use it without relying on internet connectivity at all times.
I want to move most of this functionality to the client. It means food DB, calorie formula and exercise formula to be in client. The only process that will require API connectivity is registration and login.
At each login or app launch, data will be synced with web services.
This is in a nutshell the scope of work.
I will need you to have an account in Bitbucket. If you don't have one, please create it and provide you email address or Bitbucket id, so I could share a source code.
You will also receive a DB structure, to familiarize yourself with it.
You must respond to questions bellow.
Do you know anything about Game Dynamics used in the app, do not confuse this with games? If so, please be as descriptive as possible.
What do you know about app monetization. Would like to hear some ideas and examples?
