Magento 3d secure iframe not opening

Hi
We use Magento CE 1.8.10 and have recently enabled 3D secure via cardinal services. We use one page checkout from our template and when you go to checkout, the popup/iframe for 3D secure does not open and an error is shown saying "Please verify the card with the issuer bank before placing the order. "
Please only bid if you know what it is and have feedback. The internet is full of this problem and apparently its some .js conflict
