Create matching .xml files for all files in directory with following structure and matching file name but with .xml extension.(choose if recursive or not).
XML File to Contain XML structure, and data taken from file names.
File Names are as follows (generally)
[url removed, login to view]
ENTITY can be more than one, separated by a space
DATE is in the format YYYYMMDD
TYPE can be more than one, separated by a space
AMOUNT - is not always there - this would be a decimal, to two decimal places. (error check this)
ACTION - is not always there, but would be "ACTION","PAID","PAYABLE","REVIEW","OVERDUE" (These should be separated by a space if multiple items, but are sometimes separated by a "-".)
DUEDATE - this is an action date, or due date, not always there. format is YYYYMMDD
EXAMPLES:
WL-20110320-A-Mercedes Benz C250 [url removed, login to view]
WL-20110307-TI-Origin Gas account [url removed, login to view]
WSA-20110211-TI-233.76-515 society landlords insurance end [url removed, login to view]
WL IDK-20110606-TI-ACN account [url removed, login to view]
PROGRAM works as follows. (would like platform independent GUI)
SELECT Directory with files
SELECT (or have default) directory to put files that didn't work or didn't match up.
choose if to be Recursive.
Go through files and create XML document for each file name (in same directory as file) with same file name as [url removed, login to view] with XML data matching up from files data. Maintain uniform naming conventions.
validation- make sure description is amount,.. ie test for decimal value
ACTIONs.. <ACTION>TRUE</ACTION>
<PAYABLE>TRUE<PAYABLE> etc..
COPY any that didn't match or work properly to an 'INCOMPLETE' folder that is definable.
All source code will be required.
EXTENSIONS (this may be later)
The same program as script or java implementable on a unix/linux platform that can run on a folder that is watched, with any document dropped in there, set up with matching XML document and transferred to another folder.
NOTE: THis is a small and quick java application. It is not a big project AT ALL. Please bid accordingly.
NOTE: Simple GUI, create XML file with values based on FILE NAME as per spec, repeat through directory listing. Recurse if necessary.
