I need a specially designed web site that will be only used internally by our engineers. We need a simple way to make drawings of how hardware is integrated between each other. We need user based access, so there needs to be a registration page where an admin can create, add, delete users. This admin can also see all details for the users, for example, if one user makes a change to a engineering document, then those details needs to be logged. We need to know who makes a change and be able to roll back the changes. When a user logs in, they should see options, create new device, create new document, or edit from database of documents. The user should also be able to search all documents for keywords so that they can find items inside the documents.
Create new device. This page should be a very striaght forward drawing program, but the key factor is that when these devices are created, they should be able to be loaded by any user into their own diagrams. So for example if I want to add a device like a network switch with 24 ports, then there can only be 24 connections that can be made to that device. Not only that, but we also need to have same device connections. For example we have connections like ASI, SDI, IP, etc.... they can only be connected to each other, ASI OUT can only connect to ASI IN , and SDI OUT can only connect to SDI OUT, but IP can connect to any IP...... All INPUTS, can only be on left side of device, and all outputs can only be on right side of device, this way the diagram can have a lineary type flow.
