Add two small features to the existing ruby on rails web application

There is an existing ruby web application which has chat feature allows to chat with other online user along with message notifications and transfer files between them and group chat. Also has appointment scheduling to schedule an appointment with other user.

Now I need few more options to be integrated with this application. They are

1. online blackboard for writing and drawing which helps one user to explain something on that board to the other user.

2. Discussion Form: Here user can posts quires like stack overflow site and other users can answer the question if they know. It’s like open discussion form.

When someone created a thread (discussion), which means posted a question, then notification has to go to all the users so that they will know about the discussion and can reply to the post.

There should be a tab for "my threads" for the threads that an individual user started. There should be a search option to search for any particular thread. If I created a thread and someone replied for that thread, then I should receive notifications.
