Interactive Floor Layout design in SVG

Currently we send clients floors layouts in the form of word documents, and ask them to give us their seating arrangements in an excel doc. I want to take this to the next level and be able to offer them an interactive form on the website so that they can create their seating arrangement using the tools we give them, and then we can print it directly from out site. It would save us so much time.

Originally we were going to integrate [url removed, login to view] (They have SVG), but we prefer everything to be in one spot, where we are creating the Guests list. Plus, we don’t need “custom” layouts really – we just need layout templates (approx 8) that admins and clients can edit. The Knot also has something on their website…so I think it can be done!

We are building site in PHP and we will provide you a list of all guests. This will be provided in any format (CSV or XML). You have to create this interactive tool that will allow users (admin and clients) to be able to make sitting arrangements like in "The Knot" and "Social Tables".

Also it should provide us export of information (i.e. guests on each table) in XML or CSV or any other format that will help us to integrate with our PHP/MySQL scripts to generate further reports for the client.
