I am currently working at a Children’s Hospital as a pediatric nurse and recently have realize how anxious a lot of the kiddos can be when here at the hospital. Most of the time they are just nervous about doctors and nurses, getting IVs (“pokes”), having to take medicine, go to surgery, etc.. My vision is to create beautiful, children's books that address these issues on the kid's level! Kids love whimsical illustrations that are colorful, detailed and fun to look at.
The book would be around 25-50 pages but art and illustration would be less, around 18-25 illustrations (some being a single page and some with single illustrations spanning two open pages). There wouldn’t have to be a timeline that we would have to finish. We could start as soon as you are available and we could could create the illustrations and book over a couple of months to a year or two if you are busy. This would allow you to create a single illustration each month for a year or two so that it isn’t a project that would bog you down!
