Build a Website for a Band

My band's website needs some work. I've currently designed a site using a template but I've kind of reached the limit of what it can do and would like to have a smoother feel. The idea behind the website should push people to watch our videos and listen to our music as well as see when and where we are playing shows.

However, I'm looking for a more modernized and smooth look. Possibly with a sidebar to navigate, mobile friendly, light text/logo animation for our name, and a more inline way to view the YouTube videos, our upcoming shows, and a better way to subscribe to our Facebook feed ([login to view URL]).
On the front page, a video should be immediately visible as well as a link to our album. The background of the site should be a blurred/modified version of the album art that stays static as the user scrolls (or possibly changes color themes, I'm not sure what would look best).
The website should be playful and be designed so that the user will stay and watch more videos/find more information about the band.
The theme should go along with the album cover, black background with gold-ish text for headers and gray/white text for content.
