We have an application that we have been developing and are using as a companion to a service we offer on the web.
Your task is to provide a complete update to improve the users experience. The aims are: -
• For the user to complete their data input with minimum fuss via mobile phone.
• To provide a clean/fresh new skin
• Allow navigation around the application quickly and easily
• Standardise: -
o Screens
o Navigation
o Message and alert formats
o Other factors
You will use the latest best practices in android design and development ([login to view URL])
The android application functions as it is now!
You work would use the existing coding as a base.
The existing app has approximately 25 screens (see attached graphic)
Phase One.
1. Understand the current app work flow
• Use and understand current android application work flow.
• Ask questions to make sure you have a full understanding of the stages of the log file creation
2. Provide your understanding
Provide a word document covering 4 or 5 dot points for each screen explain your understanding on what that screen functions do and why.
3. Provide your proposed solution to improve user experience / work flow and controls. You will show us full details via the use of a word document and graphics. (This will form part of your scope of work for Phase two). There may be so iterations back and forth until the document has all details and it is agreed
Phase Two
1. Provide you art work for review and acceptance
2. Integrate the new artwork, navigation, layouts and all other works
3. Function test
4. Submit the completed application when all work is done
5. Provide a copy of the new artwork in native format
During phase two you will provide weekly updates for progress, this include .apk files in the later stage for us to try and a help assess the final product
Total project duration is expected not to exceed 3 weeks from project award.
Stage 1 should be complete in 3 days of award.
