I am part of an association of independent tour guides based in Rome and I am going to work for a new website to promote our services and to sell our tours online. Our aim is to have visibility, to find new clients, but also to show our personal approach and our passion for art, history and for the Italian culture and traditions. We would like to have a window where each single guide can tell something about himself to the visitors, where to read articles and to find information about the best events, temporary exhibitions or other things in the city.
We think of selling our tours thanks to an external booking engine ([login to view URL]) to be included in our website, but we don't want to work on a personal booking engine or shopping basket, since we consider too difficult at the moment to forecast how to build it.
Our first website has been a showcase. Now we want a real tool, an instrument to help us to be seen and discovered by people who look for authentic experiences during their travels.
