Requirement to convert a relational data model into a dimensional model based on standard Kiball design techniques.
There are 43 tables in the source model.
Source model comes from InfoSys Finacle which is a cloud based banking system.
Tables are not entirely 3nf as there is some consolidation during the source extract performed by Finacle.
The source model is best described as an Operational Data Store (ODS).
Your job is to convert the source model into dimensions and fact tables and produce an ERD and "create table" scripts.
Attached is an image of the source model ERD and a document describing the requirement.
Included are rules and guidelines for producing the model as well as complete metadata for all 43 tables.
Applicants should have extensive dimensional modelling experience in a banking environment with Finacle experience strongly preferred.
