We have produced and published a graphically intensive and interactive accounting book for the iBooks 2 platform. It's called Accounting Comes Alive - Introduction to Color Accounting. It has movies, diagrams, audio and exercises in it. It is for sale in the iBookstore and can be viewed and sampled at this link [url removed, login to view] It was developed in IBooks Author. 'iBA' books only run on the iPad. We want to take the content from the iBA book and convert it into a fixed layout beautiful ebook for the Kindle Fire. We have an in-house graphic designer who can work with you to produce diagrams. Your job will be to adapt the content to the new medium. This may include working out how to get a concept that was originally conveyed in video across in, for example, static diagrams with words. You'll be supported by the original authors.
You'll need an iPad, to view the original book.
The accounting book is based on a new graphical representation of accounting. You don't need to be an accountant, but you need to be savvy enough to understand the logic of the content. (We've made it pretty simple.... that's the point!) That's why we've specified technical writing. You'll have an appreciation of graphics, because the book must be beautiful. And as we've said, you can work with our designer. You're a ghostwriter because we've already laid out the 'story', so to speak. You may be a website designer, because you'll be familiar with graphic design software to lay out the book.
